You probably know Austin-based creative, Leigh Patterson, as the woman behind Moon Lists (a monthly collection of thoughts and writings by other interesting women) and as a contributor to Apiece Apart Woman, as well as many other writing, editing, and creative direction projects.
Her feminine, understated social media presence and subtle approach to design always leave us feeling grounded and refreshed. Below she shares how she stays centered amidst travel and work.
Part of the Solare mission is finding abundance in scarcity, whether that means using fewer ingredients in our beauty routines, paring down what’s in our environments, or being thankful/mindful in our days. How do you incorporate simplicity and/or nature into your everyday routine?
I am fortunate to live in a place where I can be outside most days of the year; I have realized in retrospect that seeing the sun, whether that’s going on a daily walk or just living in a way where I can run basic errands on foot, has many subtle nurturing, healing values for me.
L: I travel often for work and I think it has loosened a lot of the precious rigidities I’d built up over the years about what I assumed I “needed” — there’s an ease that can come with not only requiring but being just as satisfied with less. (Not saying I’ve found it yet, but I think it can exist.)
